Road to Miss Universe 2012: Chantal Zaky was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2012 at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston on May 12, 2012. Chantal Zaky is 24 years old and stands 1.76m. She will represent Jamaica in Miss Universe 2012 this December. Raquel Jones was the first runner-up and Sherce Cowan was the second runner-up. Top 5 completed with Amanda Mitchell and Danisha Scott.

Holly Hale was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2012 at the Town Hall in Birmingham on May 5, 2012. Holly Hale from Swansea (Wales) is 21 years old. She will represent Great Britain in Miss Universe 2012 Pageant this December. The top 5 were completed with Sandra Marie Lees, Margarita Nazarenko, Roxy Osbourne, and Lorraine Stretch.

The finale of Miss Universe Great Britain 2012 Pageant will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the City Hall in Birmingham. 41 beauties from all over Great Britain will be vying for the crown. The finale of Miss Universe Australia 2012 Pageant will be held at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins on Friday 8th June 2012. 30 National Finalists will be vying for the crown. Scherri-Lee Biggs, Miss Universe Australia 2011, will crown her successor at the end of the event. The winner will represent Australia in Miss Universe 2012 Pageant to be held in December.
Currently, the State level pageants are underway to select 30 National Finalists. There has been two Miss Universe title holders from Australia: Kerry-Ann Wells in 1972 and Jennifer Hawkins in 2004. Ana Yancy Clavel was crowned Nuestra Belleza El Salvador Universo 2012 or Miss El Salvador Universe 2012 on April 27, 2012 at the Royal Decameron Salinitas Resort in Los Cobanos. Ana Yancy Clavel is 19 years old and stands 1.73 m. She will represent El Salvador in Miss Universe 2012 Pageant.

Carlina (Carola) Duran was crowned Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2012 on April 17, 2012 at the Jaragua Hotel in Santo Domingo. Carlina Duran, Miss La Vega, is 25 years old and stands 1.82m. She will represent the country in Miss Universe 2012 Pageant to be held this December. She represented the country in the Tourism Queen International 2011 pageant.

The first runner-up was Dulcita Leggi. She will compete in Miss Continente Americanotravel 2012 in Ecuador. The second runner-up was Carolyn Hawa, who will compete in Reina Hispanoamericana 2012 Pageant in Bolivia.

Janine Mari Tugonon was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2012on April 15, 2012. Right after the event, a lot of netizens expressed their disappointment over the results. Binibining Pilipinas, the organizer, issued an appeal to fans, which read: “What is really disappointing is not the result, but the CRAB MENTALITY of our fellow countrymen. Having seen these ladies from the training, mock pageant, to the auditions, the screening, the selection, the official events, pre-pageant and tonight’s coronation, all 30 of them is very much deserving of a title and crown. They all worked hard in pursuit of their dreams. The judges have decided their fate, and we have our Bb. Pilipinas Queens for 2012. Let’s all be happy for them and instead giving hurtful remarks, why don’t we give something constructive and put our efforts in helping these ladies bring home the international pageant crowns.”
