Shelley-Marie Sumner was crowned Miss Black Country 2014 at the conclusion of the local pageant held on Saturday of February 22, 2014 at the Arena Theatre Wolverhampton. She will represent Black Country in the upcoming Miss England 2014 in Torbay this June, competing for the right to represent England in the Miss World 2014 pageant in London later this year.
Shelley-Marie Sumner was crowned Miss Black Country 2014 and will compete in the Miss England 2014 pageant.
Shelly was also the top fundraiser in the Beauty with a Purpose round raising over £700 for the Variety Childrens charity.
The 22-year-old beauty queen is a graduate of the University of Wolverhampton with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama and Performance. She is currently searching for different teaching certificates that she can complete to better herself as a person and as a teacher.

“Age 22. I live with my Mother, Sister and Nan in Bentley. I started performing at the age of 3 with Livingston Dance Academy (Wednesbury) then at the age of 10 went on to join CHB Performing Arts (Walsall) where I was given main roles in the shows of Les Miserables, Wizard of Oz and various pop and musical performances,” wrote Shelley-Marie.
The first runner-up was Ruby Bowater who also wins a place in the Miss England semi finals. The second runner-up was Jennifer Hill.
