Road to Miss World 2013 and Miss Universe 2013:
The finale of Miss France 2013 pageant will be held at the Zenith of Limoges (capital of Haute-Vienne) on December 8, 2012. 33 contestants will be vying for the tittle. Delphine Wespiser, Miss France 2012, will pass the crown to her successor at the end of the event, which will be broadcast live on TF1. The winners will represent the country in Miss World 2013 and Miss Universe 2013 pageants.

Initially, the pageant was scheduled to take place in early August. However, due to quite a few reasons, the organizers decided to postpone the finale until December. Marie Payet has been selected to represent France in the upcoming Miss Universe 2012.

According to Sylvie Tellier, president of the Miss France committee, contestants of Miss France 2013 beauty pageant are subjected to general knowledge quiz. All33 girls were informed they would have to take the test after arriving on the French-speaking Indian Ocean island of Mauritius this week for the annual televised competition. “It is important for contestants to demonstrate that they possess not only beauty, but intelligence as well”, she said.
According to Sud Ouest newspaper, the girls must take the 60-minute exam on paper which includes 40 questions divided into ten categories. Here are some of the possible questions: “Which historic event do the French celebrate on 14th July?”, “Who is Usain Bolt?”, “What is the square root of 9?”
