Though the date and location for the 66th edition of the Miss USA pageant is yet to be decided, all the state competitions to select representatives for the Miss USA 2017 pageant have completed. In this entry, we will have a look at the candidates who will compete at the national pageant to succeed Deshauna Barber of the District of Columbia and represent the United States at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant.
Baylee Smith – Miss Alabama USA 2017:
Baylee Smith, representing Pike County, was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2017 during the annual Miss Alabama USA competition Saturday night, November 5th, 2016 in Montgomery. Smith will represent Alabama at the Miss USA 2017 pageant. In the last seven years, Alabama has placed in the top 20. During the national 2013 competition, Mary-Margaret McCord, placed 1st runner-up to Miss USA.

Alyssa London – Miss Alaska USA 2017
Alyssa London was crowned Miss Alaska USA 2017 at the conclusion of the annual state pageant held in early February 2017. She will represent Alaska at the Miss USA 2017 pageant. According to her website, London is a Tlingit entrepreneur and motivational speaker. She has worked with Microsoft, Nike and Stanford University, where she graduated from. London also has a weekly radio show on KOAN as well, where she brings a voice to the travel and tourism industry. London said she loves to go to schools and speaking to youth about striving for education as a means to achieve their goals.
