Makenzie Muse Crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2013

Makenzie Muse is the new Miss Oklahoma USA 2013 and will compete in Miss USA 2013

Makenzie Muse, Miss Surrey Hills USA, was crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2013 on Sunday night of November 18, 2012 at the Historic Scottish Rite Temple in Guthrie. The beauty from Oklahoma City is 21 years old and stands 5’9″. She will represent the state of Oklahoma in the Miss USA 2013 beauty pageant, competing for the right to represent the United Stated in the Miss Universe 2013 pageant.

Miss Oklahoma USA 2013 results:
- Winner: Makenzie Muse
- The first runner-up: Sarah Herbel
- The second runner-up: Carrie Baker
- The third runner-up: Kelley Jones
- The fourth runner-up: Jessika Williams

Mackenzie is the daughter of Mark Muse, Granddaughter of Scott Muse, former president of Southwestern College, now Southwestern Christian University.
As the winner, Muse will receive a Lindenwood scholarship worth $57,600, along with a prize package of cash prizes, wardrobe and travel.

Oklahoma has never won the Miss USA title, although they came close in 1989 and 2010, when Jill Scheffert and Morgan Woolard placed first runner-up to Gretchen Polhemus and Rima Fakih, respectively. They are in the top 20 states in terms of number of semi-finalists.
