Lucero Montemayor was appointed Miss International Mexico 2013 by Nuestra Belleze México. The announcement was officially published on the organization’s website today January 29, 2013. The beauty from Nuevo Leon is 23 years old and stands 1.75 m (5’9″). She will represent Mexico in the Miss International 2013 beauty pageant.
We are pleased to inform you that Lucero Montemayor de Nuevo León, Monterrey, has been chosen as our beauty Mexico international 2013, and representative of Mexico in Miss International.
We believe that Lucero brings together all the qualities, requirements and a deep desire to represent our country.

Lucero Montemayor was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León. She holds a Business Administration Bachelor Degree, majoring in Industrial Engineering. Currently, she is working as a model.
Lucero entered the world of pageantry in 2011, when she decides to compete for the title of Señorita Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. She represented her field of study, Chemistry. With 21 years of age, she became the 2011 representative of her university, UANL.
A few months later, she decided to compete in her state’s competition (Nuestra Belleza Nuevo León). Despite winning the titles of Miss Photogenic and Miss Sports, she ended up as Cynthia Duque’s 1st runner-up.
After seeing her performance in her state pageant, Lupita Jones considered her worthy of competing at Nuestra Belleza México 2012; so Lupita invited Lucero to participate in the competition. Lucero accepted the offer.
Lucero enters the concentration as a favorite. She was always on the top lists of experts and fanatics. She lived up to the hype in every aspect, specially after winning a spot in the Top 15 when NBM awarded her with the title of Miss Sports.
She places 1st runner-up to Marilyn Chagoya in Nuestra Belleza Mundo México 2012. A few days later, Lucero places as 1st runner-up to Cynthia Duque in Nuestra Belleza México 2012.
Lucero Montemayor gave first steps into the modeling world when becoming part of an agency called THE ORANGE MARKETING. She has done many ads and photo shoots with this agency.
Mexico now boasts two Miss International crowns all by appointed beauty queens. In 2007 Priscila Perales, who originally competed at Miss Universe won the first Miss International title of Mexico. This was followed by Anagabriela Espinoza, who originally competed at Miss World, in 2009.
