Jessica Hayes, the reigning Miss Buck Whaleys, was crowned Miss Ireland 2014 at the conclusion of the national pageant held on July 19th, 2014 at Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin. The 20 year old beauty from Cork will now go on to represent Ireland in the Miss World 2014 pageant, scheduled for this December in London, England.

Last year, Jessica represented Cork in the Miss Ireland pageant but failed to make it into the Top 3.
Ms Hayes is studying business, however, she is willing to put her study on hold for a year so that she can focus all her attention on her new role as Miss Ireland.
The first runner-up was Shannon Howe;
The second runner-up was Fionnuala Short.
To date, Rosanna Davison is Ireland’s first and only Miss World when she won the title in 2003. Ireland first participated in Miss World in 1952.
