Jaclyn Schultz is the winner of Miss Michigan USA 2013 and will compete in the Miss USA 2013 beauty pageant
Road to Miss USA 2013 Pageant:
Jaclyn Schultz, Miss Wyandotte USA, was crowned Miss Michigan USA 2013 on September 29, 2012 at McMorran Theater in Port Huron. The beauty from Wyandotte is 24 years old and stands 6’0″. She will represent Michigan in the Miss USA 2013 Pageant.
The new Miss Michigan USA graduated from Roosevelt High School at Wyandotte in 2006. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University and is currently enrolled for her master’s degree at Michigan State University.
Currently, she is working as a media buyer for Brogan and Partners in Birmingham.
“I have never competed in a pageant in my life,” Schultz said. “I had no idea what I was getting myself into.”
“I am so excited to represent the state of Michigan. I’m just at a loss for words right now,” said Jaclyn after winning the title.
The Miss Michigan USA pageant has no preliminaries. Contestants automatically represent the city they are from, she said. In addition to honoring the state of Michigan in the Miss USA pageant, Schultz has won travel, wardrobe and scholarships.
According to Melissa Pitchford, executive director for Miss Michigan USA and Miss Michigan Teen USA, 70 women competed for Miss Michigan USA 2012 and another 40 girls competed for Miss Michigan Teen USA 2012. Contestants competed in swimsuit and evening gown competitions and answered interview questions on stage.
At the same event, Ruby King was crowned Miss Michigan Teen USA 2013 and will represent her state at the Miss Teen USA 2013 pageant.
