Candiace Dillard was crowned Miss United States 2013 at the conclusion of the pageant held on July 2-7, 2013 at the at the Spinx Club/Crystal City Marriott in Washington, DC.
At the time of crowning Miss United States, Candiace is the reining Miss District of Columbia United States 2013.

Candiace is 26 years old and resides in the District of Columbia. Candiace was the winner of Miss Capitol City United States 2013 and she was the first runner-up of Miss District of Columbia USA 2012.

As the Miss United States winner, Candiace travels across the country during her reign, in partnership with the American Cancer Society as a Good-Will Ambassador.

The Miss United States pageant is a beauty contest held in the United States for young women between the ages of 20-29. The pageant started in 1937. The federal trademark and management has been held since its inception by the Mrs. United States Inc. of New York’s owner Isabella Ilaqua.
In addition to Miss United States, younger contestants from every state vied for the titles of Miss Teen United States who are ages 16 – 19, Miss Jr. Teen United States who are ages 13 – 15, as well as women ages 25 – 55 who competed for the title of Ms. United States (a division allowing women to compete who are divorced, widowed, and/or have given birth) and were honored to be asked to march in the 4th of July Parade at the nation’s capital. The program was also broadcasted through televised syndication.
Chris Wilmer, Miss United States National Director, has been a pageant producer, fashion show producer, and production director for many organizations for years. He was also fashion editor for “V” Magazine and is a former model and actor. Chris has launched and developed several non-profit organizations and continues to be an active member in his community and in pageantry with fundraising for charitable organizations. Chris took over as national director for the Miss United States Organization in 2012.
The organization has formed a close partnership with the non-profit cancer organization Relay For Life.
