2013 Miss Italia Peekskill and Little Miss Italia Peekskill Crowned

November 19, 2013 – On Saturday, November 16, 2013 young ladies of Italian Descent competed for the Miss Italia Peekskill title at the Harbor at Charles Point in Peekskill, NY. The categories they competed in was photogenic appeal, casual wear, evening wear and interviews.

The winner of the Miss Italia Peekskill 2013 title is Nadia Manginelli from Peekskill, NY. Miss Manginelli, a hairstylist at the Richard Scott Salon and Day Spa in Mount Kisco, NY has competed in several pageants such as Miss New York State and Miss Westchester. The First Runner up was Alexa
Carvajal from Brooklyn, NY. Second Runner up was given to Amanda Daley from Rexford, NY. The Miss Congeniality title was awarded to Arianna Memoli from Peekskill, NY.

Also crowned last night was Little Miss Italia Peekskill. The winner chosen is Jennifer Morriss of Peekskill, NY. The Little Miss Italia Peekskill competition was open to young girls of Italian Descent
between the ages of 5 and 9 years of age from all areas, not just Peekskill. Miss Morris won her
title by submitting 2 digital pictures and an essay on what her Italian heritage means to her. The
Little Miss Italia Peekskill competition is not a full beauty pageant contest. It is primarily judged on
the essay and on the photogenic appeal and character displayed in the digital photographs.

The winners along with the 2013 Honorary Italian Citizen, Vincent DiPierro will be honored at the
Italian Heritage Gala Ball on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Harbor at Charles Point, 5 John
Walsh Boulevard in Peekskill, NY. Tickets are still available, so please contact Jillian Clausen as soon

Peekskill Pageants runs the Miss Italia Peekskill Pageant and the Miss Cinco de Mayo Peekskill

Miss Italia Peekskill is a fundraiser that was created to benefit the Church of the Assumption in Peekskill, NY. Its mission is to help young Italian-American ladies to promote their heritage and culture. They are encouraged to take pride, exemplify and create an awareness of their Italian-American heritage.
